End of the year 1980

Stan as an 18 year old vounteer with Mundelien FD

Stan's message on the back of the fire photo

Recently, I came across a photo Stan gave me of himself while he was in the cadet firefighter program in Mundelien in 1980. I was trying to look him up and found his obit.
He was in my Sociology class. I was a 24 year old new teacher.

Greg, I am so very sorry about your brother’s passing.

Eternal rest grant unto him , oh Lord, and may perpetual light be his.

You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers these days!

My Bonniebrook Cisek Family;
I’m so sorry & send heartfelt condolences on the loss of your brother Stan. Our neighborhood family gets smaller & smaller, we’ve lost so many since we were the kids on the corner. Greg, to you, I send the biggest hug as we were the closest.Kathy, you and I.
I offer my prayers of comfort and peace to every one of you. Love, Sue Teevin

Stan had my back all through high school and ill never forget how he would yell "RIT RAT!!!" at me, in the halls at school, in my classrooms when he would walk by, and at my house at night while joy riding. To this day, I still have no clue what it meant, all I know is it was hilarious and made me...

Life growing up on Bonniebrook would not have been the same if Scott and the whole Cisek family didn't live across the street from us. He always brought the fun, laughter and good times into everything we did together. I have some fond memories embedded into my soul of Scott and his parents. Scott's Mom was our Den Mother in Cub Scouts. I remember making a boat out of Ivory soap at the Cisek's house during this time and will never forget his Dad's version of Ave Maria he sang at Santa...
