Chadwick Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC - New London Obituary

North Sutton, NH – Stanley “Stan” J. Andrewski, III died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the age of 52 after a valiant nine-year battle with cancer.

Stan was born on June 18, 1971, in Toms River, New Jersey to Ruth Ann Andrewski and Stanley J. Andrewski, Jr.

Stan graduated from Merrimack Valley High School, Penacook, NH in 1989 and received his degree in Criminal Justice from Hesser College, Manchester, NH in 1993.

Stan met the love of his life, Kate, in 1996 and they were married in June of 2000.  They have spent the past 28 years building a wonderful life together full of love, adventures, and lots of time spent with their family and friends. Stan and Kate were the proud parents of four wonderful children. They will always remember him as a loving, funny and motivated father who was their protector and encouraged them all to be the best person they could be.

Stan started his law enforcement career in November of 1993 with the Webster NH Police Department and then went on to the Claremont Police Department in April of 1996. During his tenure with Claremont, he rose through the ranks from Patrolman to Sergeant in 1998, to Lieutenant in 2013 and Captain in 2019. He was the of Use of Force Instructor and Armorer and then the Senior Firearms Instructor/Range Officer. In 2009 he received the Combat Cross for rescuing a downed officer while in combat with an armed adversary and in 2012 he was honored with the NH Congressional Law Enforcement Award Unit Citation for “Courage and Resolve” during a domestic violence incident in the Town of Cornish. Stan received numerous awards and commendations during his career before retiring in January of 2021. Throughout his career Stan was a well-respected partner, mentor, leader and friend.

After retiring from law enforcement Stan took a job at New England College with Campus Safety for a few years and then fully retired in January of 2023.

Stan was an avid hunter and loved the great outdoors. In April of 2015 he took the trip of a lifetime to Africa with his brother John. He spent many weekends with his brother in laws and friends hunting out of the cabins in the mountains of New Hampshire. He has been a member of New England Upland and thoroughly enjoyed time spent there with family, friends, and his dog, Hazel. He loved to share his knowledge of hunting and guns with his children, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed long walks around the lake with his wife, hiking with his mother, sitting around a fire with family and friends and enjoying a cigar.

Stan is predeceased by his son, Colby (2010), and his father, Stanley (2022).

He is survived by his wife and “one true love”, Kate (Katherine) Mullen Andrewski; their children, Kristina Andrewski Talalas and her husband James, of Newmarket, NH, Hallie Andrewski and her partner Matthew Denham of Contoocook, NH and Victoria (Tori) Andrewski, North Sutton, NH; his wonderful mother Ruth Ann Andrewski, Newbury, NH and his only brother, John Andrewski, and partner Laurie Banks of Freedom, NH and his beloved lab, Hazel. His Father in law Ed Mullen, and Lisa, Concord, NH; Mother in law Joanne Wilkinson and Bob, Biddeford, ME, Brothers- in- law; Bill Mullen and wife Kristin, Concord, NH, Ed Mullen, and wife Michelle, Littleton, MA, Mike Mullen and wife Lisa, Deering, NH, Tim Mullen and wife Alisa, Chichester, NH, Frankie Mullen and wife Courtney, Henniker, NH; sister in law, Connie Mullen, Concord, NH;  19 nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews who will truly miss their “Uncle Handsome man”.   As well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

If you were blessed to spend time with Stan then you never had to question who he was or what he stood for, his leaving has left a hole in our hearts bigger than any caliber he ever shot, and he will be missed tremendously.

Not sure what to say?

Stan was one of the nicest and most genuine souls I have had the good fortune to call friend. He treated everyone he met with respect and dignity and was a model of moral living. He left us way too soon but rode the express elevator to Heaven.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. Sad to hear of his passing. I gave lots of fond childhood memories of him, especially the endless hours of playing monopoly. -Nicole Radford (Blanchard)

My heart absolutely breaks for you. God bless you all.

Kate,

Marc and I send our condolences. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Much love,
Kim and Marc

Dear Ruth & Family,
My sincere condolences to you, Ruth, on your loss. Love gives peace. May your son rest peacefully knowing he is loved and will be missed by his family & friends. Stay brave.

Dear Kate,

We were so saddened to hear the news about Stan’s passing. Although words cannot take away the pain, please know that we care and are here for you. It was our privilege to have Stan, your family and all his friends enjoy time with us at NEU. We loved having him here and looked forward to every visit. Kristina and Hazel will always have a place to chase game birds with us. Just call. His friendship, passion for the club and the outdoors will always be remembered fondly....

My deepest sympathy, Ruth, for the loss of your son. May good memories bring comfort and peace at this sad time. Please know you are in my prayers.

To the Andrewski family. My deepest condolences go out to all of you. I can't express my sorrow enough for the loss of someone I was fortunate enough to spend time growing up with in Webster, and who then went on to become one of the bravest and most principled men I've known. I have so many memories of Stan, John and myself playing in the woods behind their home, of Stan "hunting" John and I as we ran for our perceived lives, to Stanly sometimes scolding us and telling us why we shouldn't...

I am so sorry to hear of his passing I send my prayers to the family.
