Not sure what to say?

Served in Vietnam with Captain Blunt. RIP my friend. Thanks for your service. William Vette 1st platoon 1969

Was then Cpt Blunt's forward observer for D 1/11 in the fall of 1969. "Six" & I weren't buds. But, Six led from the front and I am proud to have served with him and D 1/11.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Captain Blunts passing. He took command of Company D first of the 11th Infantry at LZ Sharon in early August 1969, arriving the same day I did. In our first formation he said he would do his best to get us all home safely. Although I was wounded, taking an AK47 round through my neck & out my back, he got me back to safety & out of harms way.
My condolences to his friends & family.
RIP sir.....till next we meet again.

Setting Sail 1976

Stan, my regular/irregular partner; I saw you as a Phoenix always rising up from the ashes, a trueHumanitarian, you gave me books of signed checks during my 3+ yrs at Palmer College of Chiropractic (amazing) I hoped you would rise again as it was my turn to assist you. You sold your new 74 Bronco after deciding to take me to Thailand w/ you. Our life was like a rollercoaster ride; we missed mount-ains so you bought tickets to Nepal for our honeymoon! + tickets to ProSports/concerts + U S...

Setting sail 1976

I was a classmate of Stan from 1-12th grade and considered him a friend. We both were in the Clarinet section of the Jr-Hi and High School band where he loved giving me a bad time.
What a hard and interesting life Stan had with many fine accomplishments.
He has fought the hard fight and now can rest easy. Thanks for writing such a great tribute to your brother.
He will be missed! Sharon (Ross) Kaiser

What can I say but RIP Stan. From grade 1 thru grade 12 we were always giving one another a hard time about something. That went on after we graduated too. I remember Mike wanting your thoughts and ideas on Viet Nam before he took his tour there. Thank you for your service!!!!!!
You were always a leader in our class no matter where we went to school. You will be missed.
Always, Bonnie and Mike Collins

I always admired Stan's indomitable spirit and bonhomie! I have fond memories of fun times being a classmate, especially our Senior year. He made us proud with all of his accomplishments. RIP good soldier! Vicky Knudson

What a great tribute to your brother. My sister, Connie, has let us know about him over the years.
We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Thanks for sharing a part of his remarkable life. Love Dave and Pat Haver
