Please accept our condolences on the recent passing of Dr. Evans. My mother, Velma Boulos RN, trained under Dr. Evans at EMMC in Bangor Maine many years ago. They worked together to establish Mercy Recovery in Portland. My mother spoke often of her admiration for Dr. Evans and what a difference he made in the recovery world. To the family of Dr. Evans, I want to thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us in the recovering community for all these years. Your dad and I shared many clients over the years. He supported our philosophy at Open Door Recovery Center that no one should be turned away. He was always there when I needed to call to discuss a patient in need.
