Stanley H. Gilbert Jr.

(2nd attempt to write here hopefully not a duplicate.) .... Was a great doctor and a healer. My pediatrician from about 1964 to 1974. Was nice to read about his humanitarian efforts in just causes. My condolences to his family, friends, former colleagues and medical associates. God's Peace Be With You All.

Dr.Gilbert was one of the few true great doctors that truly cared about his patients&their families.We moved into the area in 1962&he became our doctor with 5 boys&3 girls our family kept him busy.He even started caring for the grand children.But I have yet to find a doctor as caring.He was special&rare.I hope his family knows how much he was loved &will be missed.R.I.P.Doc you were the BEST.Tom Fais& family

Just the name alone brings with it great memories of his wit, knowledge and caring guide for the seminal act of having and raising children. Close your eyes, and there is Stanley Gilbert, in his old rambling country home offering the latest medical advice to those who lived in Yorktown and Somers. Not perfect because he was missing a finger having built a tree house for his kids. He was, therefore, just like the rest of us..a bit flawed at times. And, then he had the courage to stand outside...

My son Chris was Dr. Gilbert's first patient. He had not opened his practice yet. The Hannas knew him & called him when my son stopped breathing. All my children were treated by him till they got older. He was a good guy... May he rest in Peace.....
