Laura, I was so sad to hear that Stan died. I had been thinking about him recently and left him a short message on Facebook. He loved you and your Mom so much as well as his son. Stan's jokes always made me laugh and I was so sad for him when your Mom died. I remember the little picture of her he kept in his pocket. I now that he appreciated all you did for him as a caregiver and daughter. He will be missed by everyone who knew him-he was an unforgettable gentleman.

My dear Laura, I have had Stan on my mind for the last few days. I am sad to see this today. He loved your mother and laughed with her everyday. After my friend, Lynne died, I tried to include Stan in several dinners with friends and he always refused to join. Finally, I asked how long he would sit Shiva for your mother and he answered, "for the rest of my life".
