Not sure what to say?

Dear Ethel and family,

I am sorry to have missed this notice of Stan's death and the calling hours. As neighbors on Liberty Street for many years, Stan and you were among the very first people we met in Montpelier and those years of friendship and education were very important to me and Didi. I always enjoyed my conversations with Stan, whether it was about business or hockey or how to fix a leaky basement or rotten porch! Just the other day I looked for him at the NU hockey game in...

Ethel, Gary, girls and extended family: I just returned from out of state yesterday and learned of Stan's passing. So many memories have gone through my mind. Like so many other young people of the late 60's, Stan gave John and I our financial start. His trust in us and his advice were very important as we started our married lives and family.

About a decade later, we had the pleasure of working with him on the youth hockey program. His and Ethel's leadership in getting the outdoor...

Dearest Ethel and family,

It has been sseveral years since I have been part of the Triad team but a day does not go by that I do not thing about the both of you. I was lucky enough to get a chance to know Stan and how much of a wonderful, caring individual he was. He will be truly missed by the individuals who got to know him and were part of his life.

Much love to you all,
Beth Diederich

I was saddened to hear of Stan's passing. I was fortunate enough to have spent some quality time with him, and Ethel, at our camps, and at the summer house. A truly awesome man.

Mrs. Grandfield and Family,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I was lucky enough to work with Stanley at the Howard Bank and through Triad; but my favorite time to see him was as a neighbor passing by and chatting for a few minutes.

He has always held a special place in my heart; always a gentleman and a constant teacher - he will be missed by many.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time of losing a husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend. May...

Ethel and Family ... I am so sorry to have read about Stan's passing. We always enjoyed you folks stopping by City Hall to chat with us, and we hope you will continue, Ethel. I know it has been a difficult journey, as of late, but you're a wonderful family full of love and support and I know the fond memories will sustain you. Love and warm thoughts to you all ...

Dear Ethel & family, Jim & I are so sorry to learn of Stanley's passing. He did so much for the Youth of Central VT. We always enjoyed chatting with both of you as you stopped on College St. or when we walked by on Liberty Street and Stanley was outside working on some project! May the memories of the good times help you in these days ahead. God bless you all & rest in peace Stanley.

Ethel and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Members of the Grandfield Family -- I had the pleasure of working with Stan at the Howard Bank. What a wonderful gentleman who helped me get oriented to Howard Bank. He will be missed by all of the Howard Bank family. Alan Day
