Not sure what to say?

Stan was the best brother ever, and a type of Christ in my life. He and his family created a heavenly home where truth and love were front and center, and where the Holy Spirit could freely dwell. He lead a life of service to all he knew, and he had a pure heart. I am sure that he was met on the other side with the loving approval of the Savior, and a joyous reunion with my parents. I will always be thankful for Stan. We will meet again, I am certain.

I remember Stan use to come my house on some Sunday for a visit with his son Matt. I was shock to hear of his passing. Me and my wife Rita would like give family our deepest sympathy in this difficult time. We will greatly miss Stan. Riley family!!

Such a kind, caring man, with a wonderful laugh. My thoughts to Lisa and their sons.

Stan is a great guy! So patient with the scouts he mentored. Until we meet again good brother!

Stan was one of only 2 people who ever expressed appreciation for what I did while serving in a church calling for 3 1/2 years. It meant a lot to me to be seen and appreciated. He was also a big part of the Scouting program when my son was in Boy Scouts. I remember him always smiling or laughing. He was very kind and always helpful and considerate of others. My condolences to Lisa and the boys. May God and the good memories of your lifetime together sustain you in your grief. Love and prayers.

What an amazing man, and a kind, gentile person. Stan was a mentor to many revolving through the copy desk at the Muskegon Chronicle, and later the MLive publication hub. Will always remember his contagious smile and infectious laugh.
