Not sure what to say?

Stan is imbedded in our memory forever as a coach and 2nd father to all of us during our formative years. Especially me from 7th grade Hazel Lads through 12th grade. Hope the family is doing well. Thank God for having Stan being a part of our life. Gordon Knight

Stan continues to live on in our memory. Just yesterday , my wife (Jan) and I compared a recent new introduction of a neighbor to Stan with his gregarious manner. Stan was my best friend and he will always remain in our memory.

We all hand fun when Stan ran for UglyMan on Campus - it was a big deal and the fraternity came up with a skit that we took around to all the sororities and girls dorms - we sang a little jingle - great good fun was had by all - every penny was a vote - went to the Campus Chest (a collection of charities). Posters w/ scary photo of Stan all dressed up - someone probably has copy.

To the Henderson family and wrestlers of the past,
I still think of Stan often and my prayers are with his family. He was my second father. His guidance and discipline taught me many valuable lessons during my formative years as a wrestler and student that helped me maintain an unrelenting work ethic to this day for which I am eternally grateful. My best wishes and best of health to his family.

Dear Patsy,
Memories are forever and Stan was my 2nd father having been through Hazel-lad wrestling in 7th grade through senior high as coach and gym teacher. He kept me on the right path and there was never a day went by that I didn't use his euphemism to help me get through the tough times. Wrestling as a self discipline prepared me not only for sports, but for my life career as a heart surgeon. Thanks for the memories!

I had the honor of meeting "Coach" Henderson in the early 1970's at HHS. He was the epitome of class, character and encouragement. I recently learned of his passing and wanted to share a few words about a wonderful man and educator.
