To the Hoig family,
Dr. Hoig was my instructor at UCO and one of my favorites at the school. Journalism was my minor and out of all of my journalism classes, his were, by far, the most interesting and he was a patient instructor. One that really sticks out in my mind was a writing class and our term paper consisted of writing a short story, chapter of a novel or a magazine article. He critiqued all of our work with pain-staking comments and you could tell that he did not lightly grade...
