Stanley Kalvaitis Jr.

It was and honor and privilege to be Stan’s friend. We are all better today for having known him. We will remember him for his enormous hart and loyalty. It’s been several years since I’ve seen or spoken to Stan. It’s so sad to think I’ll never hear his laugh or see his smile again. He’ll be missed, never forgotten. Our sympathies to Outi and the rest of the family.

As we all know, Stanley was a big man in stature, and he had a heart just as big, if not bigger. I remember many laughs over the years with him at the Rock Hill. He always had a smile on his face, and was always first to ask "What can I do for you?" if you needed something. When Stan was your friend, he was your friend for life. I am sorry to hear he left us so early, we'll miss him, but remember the fun we had in his company for a very long time.

Maria, it is so hard to lose someone but I think its worse to lose a child. Stanley was one of my brother Jack friend that I truly enjoyed talking with. Though I have not seen Stanley in years you use to give me the update on him when I woud see you at the Little House. dear stan the man (Hakneib) Billy,and I will truly miss you we shared special times together in Florida,you were a brother to me, and a dear friend. The Glynn family sends its sympathy to the Kalvaitis family. Stanley never forgot his friend, the late Michael Glynn, and treated the Glynn family like we were his family. Every time I have spoken to him over the last 35 years he has asked about each member of my family. His kindness and consideration went a long way toward alleviating the pain of our loss. It's been quite a while since I've seen Stanley but I remember how softly he spoke and how handsome he was. I have not seen Stanley for 40 years. We played baseball together at McConnell Park in Savin Hill. My father was the coach, and Stanley's father was always there, cheering us on. It was great to see Stanley play because he was so big and strong and scary looking to the opposing pitcher. He always looked like he was happy and about to crack a big smile if he wasn't smiling already. I'm glad he was on my team. I wish I had not lost contact with him, and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
