Dear Mrs. Kaplan & Family,
My mother, Florence and I owe both you and Mr. Kaplan a debt of gratitude for having touched our lives. Had my mother been alive today her heart would be heavy with sorrow over Stanley Kaplan's passing. Please, accept my deep condolences and the condolences which she would have wished you and yours. Your family was always in her prayers. She loved you all as her own.

My mother Miriam and myself were very sad to hear that Stanley has passed away. My late father, Abraham, who passed away over 3 years ago, always spoke fondly of Stanley. We had wanted to visit Stanley after my dad passed away but were not able to.

Milt and I are truly saddened at the news of Stanley's passing, which we first received from our son in California. I first began tutoring English in the basement of the Bedford Ave. home, moving on to a little apartment building, and continuing until after our third child was born. This job helped pay the bills while my husband was a medical resident. We moved on to the philadelphai area and became good friends of the Weinbaums. Cheryl and I are devastated by Stanley's passing. As is the case with so many life-long marriages, Stanley brought us together. He gave purpose and direction to my life, and taught me so much more than good old "boo-boo-boo, square root of two." Stanley, you always said your practice tests were "exactly the same, only completely different." Well, there never has been, nor will there ever be, a life exactly the same as yours. My deepest sympathies go out to Rita, Susan, Nancy and Roz.
