Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of getting to know Stan when I served as the Stanley Legro Professor of Environmental Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, and he became a friend as well as a colleague as I continued to teach at USD. It was always a delight to see Stan at USD events or to meet him for lunch. He contributed a great deal to the EPA, the Environmental Law Institute, state governing boards, and USD. Most of all, though, he contributed that twinkle in his eye and enthusiasm for life...

Stan was a bright, friendly, energetic classmate at Harvard Law School in the mid 1960s. My condolences to his family.

Farewell to an esteemed colleague and good friend. May you rest in peace.

Stan and my husband, Graham Murray, were longtime friends.
We enjoyed his visits to Durango to look at his property on the Dolores river. He was truly a renaissance man with many accoplishments and interests including running the New York City marathon. He will be
missed. My sympathy to Susan and Wayne.
Caroline Murray

Stan was a wonderful Board member for the Center for Civic Education. We miss his wise counsel very much.

Stan was a classmate, a fellow opera lover, and a great American. I will miss his warm smile and great personality.

Stan was a superb, brilliant, generous fellow and Naval Academy classmate. I'm sure he made a major contribution in his environmental work. He'll be sorely missed! Van Nield

May the God of comfort bring the family peace in this difficult time.
