Stan was a great scientist with a wonderful sense of humour. He was always excited with new ideas and his interests and questions were penetrating. His old friends from the U.K will miss him. Mike Ashwood-Smith ( Canada )

Dr. Leibo was the most generous of teachers and scientific mentors. He influenced the careers of hundreds of biologists and physiologists, yet remained humble and accessible always. He made the world a better place and we are lessened by his loss.

Stanley Leibo was a great man with a great heart. He mentored me with regard to cryobiology on many occasions and I always looked forward to reading his next publication. He was generous with his time and knowledge and he will be missed. My condolences to the family.
