A Tribute to the Chiropractor’s Father

The chiropractor’s father
made adjustments to his life
so to be there for his children
and his dear devoted wife.

Stanley made no bones about it.
He aligned the things he could
so his posture as a father
would not be misunderstood.

He manipulated meetings
rearranging business trips
so to be in touch and present
when life’s x-rays showed a blip.

Yes, this hands-on...

Dear Corinne and Family,
I will always remember Uncle Stan fondly - and not just because he kept me in mohair sweaters and Mr. Mort dresses in my callow youth. He was always a favorite and will be greatly missed. I'm so glad that I was able to see him for the last time when I came over to Everett to visit my Dad and we gathered at your home for pie and coffee. It will be a lasting memory. I'm sure he is close to the Lord and looking down on all of us in peace and joy. Blessings.

Dear Corrine, Dr. Lloyd and family, I was sad to hear the news of Stan's passing. He was such a nice, peaceful and honorable man and I always enjoyed our conversations. May you all find comfort in the difficult times ahead without Stan's physical presence but rest assured, his spirit lives on and he won't be forgotten. God bless you Stan and your family.

Dear Corrine and family,
Mom always loved her brother Bud, and she passed that love on to us, telling us many stories about their youth together with his three sisters. I'm remembering in the 1950s how Mom received with excitement the dress Stan would send her now and then, when she didn't spend much on herself. With Mom's death so long ago I came to treasure and love you and Stan and Fran and John, and Dode and their families all the more, even if mostly from a distance. It is a great...

To Stan from the boy you rode bikes with, shared the AHS Class of 39 with and yes, shared a war with, you in your B-17 in Europe and me in a B-29 in the Pacific. Class reunions brought us together and the difficult realities of life seperated us. Here's wishing you a Happy Journey and us a time to get together again soon.

I always wished I had lived closer to mom's side of the family. Even though I didn't, I always felt a closeness to you all. Uncle Bud was so special and I loved him. He was such a gentle person. I'm so happy I got to see him a year ago February. Aunt Corinne, Noel, Ramy....I'm thinking of you with love....

Dear Corinne and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Stan's passing.May God bless you in your time of grief.

A Tribute to a Gentle Man

Few traveling salesmen can compare
with Stanley Lloyd. His kind is rare.
A godly man who wouldn't let
work claim more than its share.

Stan loved his Lord, his kids and wife.
He loved the little things of life.
The view of Pilchuck from his chair
and china coffee cups.

This gentle man loved family
and Oosterwyk's Dutch Bakery.
He never tired of the times
"the Everett gang" would meet.

It's Mame again...I remember when Nanny K told me a funny story about uncle Bud. Back in the day, in South Dakota, A model T rolled down the main street of town and outcries of, "There's nobody driving that car!!" were heard. Well, a seven year old Stan Lloyd was working the pedals and gear shift out of sight! Maybe that is how Noel ended up "borrowing" the family Desoto in the mid 60's, got into a fender bender, and told me, "Mame, I gotta get this fender fixed before mom and dad find out."...
