Not sure what to say?

Stan had the best sense if humor of all our MSG'S in New Zealand. No one escaped his humor. With that accent and his enthusiasm he was always up to something. His attempts to understand the Kiwi's (New Zealanders) finally was fulfilled when he met Caroline. She was his translator! Though I don't think he ever understood the Maoris!

So many memories of the time on Embassy duty when Stan came to us from New Dehli. Always quick with that humor, the accent (the kiwis couldn't understand him!) And the jokes. Those were some fun times at the Marine house, at the McGrory's and that time you and Stan 'babysat' while we went up to Napier. The McGrory girls and Marquessa said they never washed their hands so many times in their lives! As Stan said; 'I couldn't think of anything else to have them do!' He was preparing for...

Has it been that long? Seeing his picture just brought back visions of the Marine House, the Independence Ball with Ambassador Franzheim, and those endless jokes. New Zealand wasn't ready for that tall, blond, sarcastic 'yankee' . . . Stan. We were! What a breath of fresh air. Rest in peace Stan, you are so missed. One day the laughs will begin again as we are all reunited.

Caroline, I just learned of your great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Take care

Sorry for your loss. Stan was such a wonderful man. I'm honored to take care of him. God bless your family.

There are no words to express my sorrow. I could always count on Stan to make me laugh whenever I saw him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of need. He will be missed. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

It was my honor to serve with Stan in New Delhi. Stan was a man of great character with a sense of humor who I will never forget. I will miss him.

Stan was one of those guys who could light up a room with his sense of humor and his down home solutions to every problem. He was one of our Marine Security Guards in Wellington, New Zealand and brought his own NY sense of humor to every situation. He will be sorely missed but we are enriched by his time in our lives. Blessings to all the Martin family.

Stanley Martin Family,

I had the pleasure of serving with Stan in New Delhi, India. Was so proud to have met him and served with him. I want to express my condolences to each of you. I know he had a tough time with his health but he is in no pain now. God be with you all.
