I miss Stan and his leadership as our HHS Class President and as a fellow SMO'er. He kept our reunions going which I wish I had attended the last one before he passed away.

Strange as it may seem, I was talking about Stan just this past Sunday at a family get together. My son-in-law Jim Collett remembers him well as a teacher and having worked with him at the YMCA for 18 years, I was always impressed by his smile, humor and true caring in many situations. Carole, hope you are well.

Stan was a great example and role model for dad's with the Indian Guide program. My children not adults remember his fine example. Thank you Stan.

Our family will always remember Stan's tireless work with Indian Guides and Princesses at the Hamden/ North Haven YMCA. We have so many great memories of the events he planned and was associated with. We look back fondly on those days and he will always be remembered with a smile.

He was also my principal at Deer Run Elementary. I remember one time my mother forgot to pick me up after school, and he let me take an ice cream from the lunch room for free while we waited for her to get there. I am very sorry for the family's loss; he will be remembered for a very, very long time, by so many people.
