Stanley M. Olejniczak, 69, passed away on January 27, 2021 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. He is survived by his wife Carol Miller, step-son Ryan Miller, brother Dennis Olejniczak, sister-in-law Laura Olejniczak, brother-in-law Christopher Schwamb, nephew Carl Oleniczak and his wife Kristen and their children Cora and Carter, nephew Kyle Olejniczak, nephew-in-law Ben Schwamb and countless treasured friends.

After working as a co-op student at Veda Inc. for five years in the early 1970s, Stanley graduated from Drexel University, 1974, BSEE, (accordion playing made that possible). Stanley continued his career with Veda, and subsequent companies that acquired Veda, for 36 years as a Navy contractor. During his career as an aircraft systems and human systems engineer he provided support to a wide range of Naval aircraft directly to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Stanley also served as a consultant to NAVAIR and the Boeing corporation on highly advanced Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAV) systems development.

Aside from a successful career, Stanley was afforded the opportunity to travel, and was fortunate to have a cast of characters in his life; his Band of Brothers . . . The Crew. More than anything his decades long friendships were his most treasured possession even when distance kept them apart. It was always obvious when Stan was in the room or on the dance floor. Stan had his own vocabulary which his family and friends grew to understand and use themselves; despite it not being dictionary worthy. Traveling with Stan was always an adventure. He spent countless hours "engineering" the most perfect use of time, logging pages and pages of notes, finding the not so popular and quirky attractions, and of course, ensuring the most bang for the buck. The old cliché a "A Life Well Lived" does apply to Stan. But more so his was a "A Life Well Laughed." Stanley proudly embraced his Polish heritage and often attributed his quirks to his heritage. Stanley was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

Stanley was also passionate about giving back to many charities, foundations, and food banks. One organization particularly close to his heart was Cornhole for a Cause that proudly supports Bringing Hope Home, a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to local families battling cancer. Donations ensure families are able to stay in their homes, utilities paid, and food on the table. As such, in lieu of flowers, the family wishes any donations be made to Bringing Hope Home in honor of Stanley's memory.  Donations can be made through this link https://bringinghopehome.org/memorials/.

Due to current events, when family and friends are able to safely gather, we will reunite in Stanley's honor to celebrate his life and share stories and memories. Laughter is a requirement to attend. Stay tuned.

Not sure what to say?

Still think of him often

Maria and I will surely miss seeing Stan in the backyard, knowing we would be in for a great laugh and great conversation. Stan always made us feel welcome. We will forever miss you on our weekends in Cape May. Thanks for being a great neighbor all these years. See you at the Tiki bar at 5 my friend.

A gentleman, who opened his heart and home too all.
He will be missed, but not forgotten

We are so saddened over our dear friend, Stan's passing. A friend for over 40 years, Stan was super intelligent, loyal, funny, and generous. Carol, we hope the happy memories of all your trips together, help you through the sad times.

Lifetime friend who I met in first grade, played in band, met my wife, and have a lifetime of memories. Will be missed, but memories last forever.

It's not the flesh and blood but the heart that makes us fathers and sons. -Johann Schiller

Stan was one of a kind; a personality that was unmatched and a heart of gold to go with it. Speaking of gold, our three girls will forever miss Stan's hand written printed money that he gave out to them every trip to Cape May. I can still see and hear Stan's voice and exceptionally unique mannerisms - he will be sorely missed by so many. My condolences to Carol and all that loved him so much.
