Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home - 44th Street - Pittsburgh Obituary

Age 76, of Lawrenceville, on Friday June 15, 2018. Loving father of Tracey (John Sr.) Evosevic and Denay (Brian) Farrand; Pap of Brianna, Elena and John Jr. (JC); brother of Patricia Kratochvila and the late Walter, Stephen and David Pijanowski; also survived by his four step-children and family. Stan was a hard worker all his life and a great provider for his family, he enjoyed listening to oldies, hanging on Butler St., taking the bus around town, and working on his well loved Cadillacs with his son-in-law, but most of all loved being with his daughters and family and adored his three grandchildren. He will be missed immensely. Funeral private.

Not sure what to say?

This man, my father, was by far the best dad a girl could ask for. No matter how big or how small a want or need was, he came through with no questions asked, wanting nothing in return. He was such a hard worker & great teacher. He taught me not only the fun things like how to fish, bike, play sports, drive a car ect but the most important thing he instilled in me was how to be a great wife & mother and taught me what family was all about. Being there for one another, dropping everything...

Stan played basketball for me as a kid....I will never forget him.Blessings to his family.

So sorry to hear about this. Imy family met him when he lived next door to us on 42nd Street in mid 70's. I had played with Tracey.Seen him over the years on Butler Street.Rip...

R.I.P to an extremely amazing man... You will truly, truly be missed...

A great man who would give the shirt off of his back to someone who needed it more. He was always smiling, worked hard and loved his family dearly. Love and prayers for the familys hearts to find comfort through the many wonderful memories you made together.

he was a honest and true person we hung out at leslie park in the late 50s he met my wife some time before i did she told me many times he was kind and very shy and always respectful. what a great guy. god bless him very much .

He will be missed in this world, but I know where he is in the next. Once when I was a teen, many, many years ago, and had some problems with my mom, I bumped into you and Junior, when he had you for visitation. He listened, and responded, and eventually took me home. He made me feel like my opinion mattered. But that was what I saw of him, always the caretaker. I know where he is, and where he can look down and still be the caretaker.

to the whole family u have my sympathy. I know you all have to greive but try to remember how much he loved you all and how he made you all laugh. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Kathy
