Not sure what to say?

Please accept my deepest condolences. I just learned of Stanley's death through my brother, who is an academic, I had been meaning to call Stanley for some time, I deeply regret that I did not make contact before he died.

I had run into some interviews of Stanley by Brian Lamb on CSpan not too long ago and was struck by how well he did in discussing Plato in that format. I will be looking to his writings for instruction until I die.

With fondest regards to all of the...

Dear Francois, Nicholas, Valerie, and Paul,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We have thought of you often and missed your presence across the street. John always enjoyed his conversations with Stanley - he will be remembered fondly.

Dear Francoise and family, I send my condolences to all of you. I'm also sending along the memories and the warm thoughts of parties, long discussions, enjoyment of music, dislike of much in State College, which we admitted only to a few, and the thankfulness for having had Stan and you in the lives of Rick and myself during our early years in State College. May your new road be smooth. Fondly, Cynthia Schein

Dear Aunt Francoise, Please accept my condolences and forgive me for falling out of touch. I hope you are well, save what must be very deep grief after such a long and wonderful life together. My mother Madge Ellen and my brother Jonathan died 4 years ago, and Dad's brother Bob this past April, so I am sadly now the elder of the Byrne clan. Happily, I have a wonderful family of my own. I hope Nick and Paul and Valerie are happy and healthy. All best, Eli Christopher Byrne, [email protected]

You served as a goal of what I hoped to be. I will miss our telephone calls.

Cressida and I send our deepest sympathies to Francoise and the entire Rosen family. Stanley meant the world to me, and I am so fortunate to have had him as a teacher, mentor, and friend. Sending you love and all our best wishes,

Khalil and Cressida Habib
