Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry fir your families loss. He was a wonderful teacher and made me love biology. I wasn't a big science lover but he made it fun. I always told my kids about going out in the fields searching for bugs, plants and animals. Hands on learning was what I needed. He was such a delight.

I attended the visitation and the memorial service, and in both cases there were so many people there that I couldn't even come close to greeting Jan. Stan was a force in the community. Two of my brothers, myself, and my son had Stan in high school, in the 60's and 90's. I am thankful we had him in our lives.

Stan was a "one of a kind" who changed lives and inspired people. during my 8 years on the School Board, he never missed a meeting and brought good ideas and solutions to the meetings---only one such endeavor that he took on over his amazing life-span. HE MADE A DIFFERENCE

A great and memorable man whose lasting touch reached far and wide. We should all strive to lead a life so good in its influence as Stan's. I accompanied him and some kids to western Kansas to investigate ferruginous hawks. We were scaling a steep eroded slope when he slipped and fell, tucking his body around his camera! Both got up, unharmed- impressive save!

I'm sorry for your loss.

So many great memories, Stan hating my drawings of pith, xylem and phloem , hitting me with an eraser ( my fault, I fell asleep after lunch)and presenting various possums and turtles I brought to his classroom/ menagerie. With all due respect to many great teachers in my life, he was my favorite and most impactful. He was an incredible leader in so many areas, Lawrence is a better place because of his involvement and mentorship

Janet, Jim, and Debbie, I want to let you know that I am thinking of you and remembering many years of admiring your family. You have so much to remember and be proud of. Pat Anderson

During my years at LHS, I was intrigued by Mr. Roth as he shared his passion for "all things science". Over the past 25 years, I've enjoyed seeing him annually at the LHS Scholarship awards ceremony. This year, he walked to the podium to share his Stan Roth Scholarship and proclaimed he was preserved with formaldehyde! What a joy to see Stan, Jan and family join in this memorable activity. Prayers of peace for you all.

Stan Roth was a favorite and a true treasure. I loved his classes. One time , when I was grown and had 2 small children, I called him to come up to the playground at Broken Arrow to help identify a strange print in the sand. He came and after fully examining it, came to the conclusion that it was someone with roller skates with a round stopper at the front making a round imprint. Not some exciting animal we had discovered. I send my sympathies to you all at this sad time.
