Not sure what to say?

As Joanne and I prepare to leave Portland I think of Stan and Neta often. Joking with him about everything, watching his unique yard maintenance techniques. Of course I recall helping him on various projects including replacing a lawn mower blade. Two educated guys couldn't figure out I put it on backwards and that's why it wouldn't cut. Victor Breen

Stan was the sweetest father-in-law to me when I was married to his son, Mark. Stan had a wonderful sense of humor and a keen interest in the lives of those around him. Always wanting the best for everyone. Blessings to Neta, Kelly, Becky and the entire family.

I first met Stan at Toastmasters, eons ago. I considered him a good friend, both from then and also from our shared experiences at MAC. I will miss him.
I send condolences and prayers to you, Neta, and your family.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Stan's family, especially Neta, Kelly, and Becky. I count myself fortunate for having known Stan in his roles as neighbor, CHS parent, friend. I witnessed his love of family and his capacity to help others. I understand the pain of losing a loved-one so kind and generous. I'll not forget Stan's occasional, spontaneous visits to inquire how I was doing after I lost my husband and to share stories of his family and his travels. Nor will I ever forget...

Neta, thinking of you & your family during this difficult time.
Hope to see you soon with playing Water Volleyball at MAC. So much fun with you & Stan over the years.
Lots of love ❤ sent your way my friend.

Stan was a good friend and classmate. At the Naval Academy we graduated with the Class of 1958. He was in the 1st Company, and I was in the 2nd. Later we served together in the Naval Reserves 1973 to 1977 in Portland. He was always a joy to be with
