Stanley l. Smith entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2015. He was a devoted husband to Diana R. Smith for 59 years and leaves behind 6 sons, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Smith served his country during the Korean War and worked as a longshoreman for many years. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and traveling. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. All other services are private. Mr. Smith will surely be missed. I was the one who would ask for the Mustang back in the day. He would let Stanley, Timmy and myself cruise the night away in his Mustang. What a joy it was to go to the Smith home. I will definitely miss him.

Diane, I'm so sorry to hear about Stanley. Was glad to see him several years ago at the Market. May he rest in peace. My prayers will be for you and the family.
