Not sure what to say?

On January 17th, 1973, this great Doctor worked 16 hours in the OR to save my life. Thank you for allowing me to live to see my grandchildren now 52 1/2 years later. I'm now 84 years old. You also told me the knee you and Dr. Sol Sobel worked feverishly to repair, may need additional surgery. You were wrong. You did such an outstanding surgery that it has never required any other surgeries. Some day we will meet again.
Rest in peace and may God watch over your soul forever.

It is a mark of modern healthcare at its best that every effort be made to establish a trust inspiring rapport between caregiver and care receiver. It is this extra attention to the quality of the relationship that lends a greater likelihood of positive treatment outcomes, from compliance to hopeful cure, and it is this attention that most thoughtful patients seek when choosing their providers. Stanley Soren had mastered this art, addressing his care receivers primarily as people,...

Dr. Soren contacted me a number of times for research assistance at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where I work as a librarian. I was always pleased to hear his voice on the telephone. He was kind, friendly, respectful, sharp, and curious about increasing his clinical expertise. I send all my sympathy to Dr. Soren's family and friends.

I met Stan in Lincoln High through mutual friends who grew up in Coney Island who all agreed that not only was he the smartest person they knew but had a wonderful sense of humor to go with it. I'm sure he leaves behind great memories as legacy to his family and all who all who ever met him.

When I suffered a thoroughly broken lower leg from a bicycle accident in 1990, Dr Soren was in charge of my care. During a medical exam to determine my eligibility to return to work following three years of recovery, he asked me to lift my left leg and jump up and down, then the same with my other leg, and then to lift both legs and jump up and down. He had a way of interjecting a remark at just the right time to enable his patients to feel relaxed in his company. May he rest in the same...

To the Soren family, You are in my prayers, as you say goodbye to a very fine doctor and man. Doctor Soren set my broken foot, back in 1979. I broke it in rope training, preparing for my first amateur fight in the NYC Golden gloves. As he was applying the cast with my mother standing by, he commented to me " I'm kind of happy this happended". When I asked him why, he replied " I'd rather be treating you, than a neurosurgeon be attending to you, right now". ...

As a neighbor of Dr. Soren I knew him to be a fine man and devoted to the noble profession of medicine. It was an honor to have met him.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
