Not sure what to say?

The world is a better place as a result of Sandy's having gone forth into the world spreading his love and enthusiasm for others. When I think of Sandy, a smile comes to my mind. I will always hear in my mind's eye his saying " Thanks be to God" in his strong, decisive voice at the end of a church service. When those words were spoken by Sandy , his voice served as a wonderful reminder of the true meaning of those words.

Prayers for your family and I am truly sorry for your loss.

Edith:
An old friend in Jackson let me know that Sandy. Very sorry to hear that. I enjoyed working with you and Sandy during my short term as an attorney. He taught me a lot.
I will pray for him and you.

Edith, so sorry about Sandy's death. He fought a long battle. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet him. Gloria Pennington

I went to school with Sandy at White Station. Our class of 1968 has a Facebook page that had over 50 comments and remeberances of Sandy as of yesterday. He holds a special place in many classmates hearts. In the time since high school I only saw Sandy at our class reunions but he seemed timeless. The thoughts and prayers from his former classmates reach out to him and his family.

Edith- am so sorry to hear about Sandy. He was such a good friend at Ole Miss when we were in the Senate together and then later in Jackson/Madison. I will always remember his humor, his infectious smile and laugh, and his wisdom. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sandy was a good friend and guiding light. He will be missed and thought of frequently.

Sandy was a good friend of more than 50 years, a good lawyer, father, husband and man. We'll miss him.

I worked with Stater at Case, Montgomery, and Smith-Vaniz when he started practicing law many years ago...remember his sense of humor...prayers for his family...
