When I was Communications Officer on the USS Hollister I worked closely with Stan because he was the Operations Officer and my immediate boss. Besides other things, he showed me how to prepare communications plans for war-games at sea. It was Stan who `gave´ me my nickname of `Cuddles´. We had a lot of adventures together ashore as well. Below is a terrible photo but it shows Stan in the middle of our wardroom ski team.
