Stanley J. Wisinski III

We have lots of fond memories but one of the most memorable qualities of Stanley was his sense of humour. He didn't always say a great deal (we can be quite a lively bunch when we all get together) but he would just come out with a one liner which would send us all off into fits of laughter. If we saw that raise of an eyebrow and the twinkle in the eye we knew we were in for some fun. Because of the distance we weren't able to get together very frequently but when we did the time just melted...

My favourite memory of Stan took place in Traverse City during a visit from the UK side of the family. We went into a hat shop that stocked every kind of headwear and pretty soon we tried on and in Stans case he settled on buying a Davy Crockett styled hat. The lead up to the purchase saw both of us with fits of laughter bordering on the childish...a great day and as always a very hospitable trip form a very hospitable man. Rest in peace Stan.

My father did plastering work and stucco work for him. He always said that Stanley was an honest man, who always paid him on time.
