A favorite memory: Jim & I had just returned from visiting Grandma & Grandpa Britton. During that visit Grandpa Britton had taken us "cruising" in his AMC Pacer; demonstrating how many miles he could coast because it was 'free-wheeling". In describing the experience to Mr. Workman he laughed and assured me that "he had also been on that ride". The Workmans were an oasis for me during my college years when I was a man without a home. That meant a lot to me.
