Obituary

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) - Leading Australian jockey Stathi Katsidis, brother of champion boxer Michael Katsidis, has been found dead at his home. He was 31.

Katsidis's body was found by his partner Melissa Jackson at their home in Brisbane, her father Tony Jackson told reporters Tuesday.

Police, who confirmed the death, did not reveal the cause but said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Katsidis was the leading jockey in Brisbane last season and was booked to ride the Australian Derby-winner Shoot Out in Saturday's Cox Plate and in the Melbourne Cup on Nov. 2. His brother Michael is the current WBO interim lightweight champion.
