Stefan and I were classmates at Richfield Springs Central School, class of 1966. I always remember his skill in art classes. He was always drawing, painting, sketching. He had a good mind too, and we often talked together. The last I saw him was probably around 1973. I had learned that he was studying at the Jordanville monastery, and I stopped by one afternoon to visit. He showed me some of the icons he was working on at the time. He was a talented human being.
