Not sure what to say?

Sorry for not sending my condolences earlier but I just found out. I have had the pleasure of knowing Anja since she and I were children. She spoke of her family often. My Aunt, Janett Wiswell was the Director of Nursing at Pathfinder Village and at the Otsego School where Anja resided before Pathfinder Village was built. As a child, I would sometimes go to work with my Aunt and play with Anja and others. Throughout College I worked at Pathfinder. Anja will certainly miss her father but...

Our family has had the privilege of knowing Anja and she always spoke warmly and admiringly of her father. The highest form of a compliment!

My sister and I were traveling in Norway in the summer of 1954. We visited the Olympic site and saw the Hoommonkollen, the largest ski jump in Norway. We went shopping at Stein's Ski Shop and he waited on us. Sally bought ski's and I bought a beautiful
sweater. I often wished I could have said hello to him when he
came to Park City, but it was not to be. I still have wonderful memories of our visit to beautiful Oslo as young girls never dreaming he would be the creator of the Park...

I'll never forget the day when Stein and Phil Jones took a couple of us from the accounting office at Park City skiing on the hill during the 1975 ski season. I was a flatlander from Ohio just learning to ski. Stein was so patient with me. I learned a lot that day. Also, my two boys and I got to follow Stein for a morning one day at Deer Valley. We learned a lot that day as well. Stein was such a graceful skier. He will dearly be missed by all. We will cherish the memories forever.

Ava,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much you admired and adored your dad. he was one of a kind. I will never forget how he made me feel right at home whenever we stayed with him. I hope you and the family are doing as well as can be expected, and are taking solace in that he led an incredible life. Give my best to the rest of your family.
