Read MoreI stumbled a crossed this while search for her younger brother or my Dad. I can't say enough nice things about Sister Stella. While My Dad pushed both Sister Ann and Sister Stella on several occasions, Stella always met him with love and understanding and a good stern grin. She touched Hundreds of lives with the same kindness. I have lovely memories and she will be be remembered and missed.

Condolences to the Sisters of St. Joseph and Janet Rogers,
Eternal rest Sr. Stella--the end of an era indeed. Sr. Stella and Sister Ann Francis were known at our home as 'the Burke girls.' My father, Lionel, Gaston and 'the Burke girls' were such good friends. I was so surprised when Sr. Stella visited Sr. Ann Francis while my Dad was there and they got to talking about his teaching Sr. Stella to swim. The three of them had so many memories that came out with smiles and laughter.
