Dover, NH: Stella J. Grondin, 80, formerly of the Bishop Gendron Apartments died Sunday, February 26, 2006, at the St. Ann Healthcare Center in Dover after a long period of failing health.

Stella was born in Rochester, NH on April 1, 1925, the daughter of Alphonse and Josephine (Grassi) Cote and had been living in Dover, NH for the past three years, moving from Rochester, NH where she lived for most of her life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, NH where she was a member of the Ladies Ste. Anne Sodality. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels Academy in Montreal, Canada, and a graduate of Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing in Manchester, NH. She was the widow of Paul R. Grondin, Sr. who died in 2003.

Surviving members of the family include: one son, Paul R. Grondin, Jr. and his wife Shirley of Rochester, NH, and one daughter, Jeanne L. Beaulieu and her husband Ronald of Rochester, NH. She also leaves four grandchildren, Michelle Sampieri and her husband Sal of Connecticut, Peter Grondin of Port Orange, Florida, Lea Beaulieu of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Matthew Beaulieu and his wife Holly of Rochester, NH, two great grandsons, Sabastian and Justin Grondin both of Florida, one sister-in-law, Olive Sarvary of Rochester, NH, as well as several cousins.

Visitation will be at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 189 North Main Street, Rochester, NH, with burial in the spring in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery. To sign the on-line guest book, please go to www.GrondinFuneralHome.com.
