Stella Nowicki

Having graduated from BHS in 1958, the only detention I ever received during my four years of high school was given by Miss Nowicki during my senior year for talking with a fellow classmate during study period. (I knew I shouldn't have taken public speaking that year). Although I didn't know her well as I never had any of her classes, I'm sure she was a fine teacher...I just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. May she rest in peace--no more detentions, please!

Although I do not know Stella's family, I have known Stella for a long time - from BUHS and church. Stella has always been a friendly and caring person. I am sure she will be missed by many. My condolences to her family.

I first met Stella in the early-1950's when Stan Nowicki and my Aunt Hope Nesbitt owned the taxi company in Brattleboro. She was indeed a wonderful lady, and it was my pleasure to have talked with her a year or so ago at Village Hair Salon in Winchester. She was still smiling and I will always remember her that way! Wonderful lady.
