On Monday, April 29, 2013 at 9:34 a.m. Sis. Stella Adams Petty departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center. Wife of the late Joseph B. Petty. Mother of Jerry Petty, Sr., Sherman Petty, Gloria LaCour, Audry Bouisse, Lorraine Petty, Gayann Palmer, Nadine Starks, and the late Nathan Petty and Aline Petty. Daughter of the late Harry B. ?Click? Adams and Alice Whitney Adams. Sister of Edward Wallace and the late Erentha ?Tee? Petty and Marie Morris. Sister-in-law of Henry L. Petty, Shirley Petty and Beverly Forges. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 86 years. A native of Barataria, LA and resident of Marrero, LA for six years.
Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers and members of Greater St. John Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend Funeral Services at Greater St. John Baptist Church, 2823-A Privateer Blvd., Barataria, LA on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Harold E. Clark, Pastor, officiating. Visitation from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Greater St. John Baptist Church, Barataria, LA.
