Stephanie N. Mathous Bossinger, Athens, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 after being stricken at home. She was 34 years old.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8th at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, 632 State St., Watertown. Burial will follow the service in the Brookside Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10 am – 2 pm at the funeral home.
Born September 23, 1987 the daughter to Kenneth and Nellie Mathous. Stephanie graduated from South Jefferson Central High School, June 2005. She went on to earn a master’s degree from Canisius and D’youville Colleges in Health Services Administration in 2017. She married Jeremy Bossinger October 6, 2012 in Buffalo, NY.
Surviving is her husband Jeremy, Athens; 3 children, Kennedy, Bristol and Jarrett, her parents, Kenneth and Nellie Mathous, mother-in-law, Tammy Bossinger (companion Christopher Castle), sister, Jessica (Brent) Marrin, brother, Travis (companion Shawnee) Mathous, nieces and nephews, McKenah and Allyson Perry, Brady and Austin Bossinger, Nora and Hudson Marrin, Riggs Mathous, sister-in-law, Stephanie (Jeremy) Perry, 2 brothers-in-laws, Adam (Meredith) Bossinger, Kyle (Companion Ashley) Bossinger, grandfather, Gene Eastland and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by grandparents Darrell and Irene Mathous, father-in-law Joel Bossinger and nephews Jack and Evan Marrin.
She was the spotlight in every environment she was part of. A stellar mother that all dreamed to emulate #bossMOMents. She was always five steps ahead of any type of planning, never cutting a corner. Everything she did was with purpose and focused on extreme attention to detail. She had an influential personality, making everyone she connected with strive to be a better person. Her constant display of honesty and purity were beyond impressionable.
Stephanie is a self-taught expert margarita maker, craft entrepreneur, baker, deal seeker, coupon clipping, amazing individual among many uncountable other devoted hats she wore. The footprint she left with her children will forever remain her greatest legacy and she will continue to be a monumental piece in many people’s lives.
