Dear friends of Stephanie,
Thank you, everyone, for your kind messages on this page. I want to let you know that a remembrance gathering (calling hours) is being planned. Her brother Scott is arranging it, and it looks like it will be November 7 from 5-8 pm at the Doubletree Hotel in Silver Spring.
If you have any interest in attending, please let me know at [email protected]. I'm happy to keep you posted about the details. Also, if you can let anyone else that knew Stephanie know about it, that would be great. It would be good if they could let me know they are coming so that Scott can know a rough head count. I remember Stephanie from UVA: curly red-hair! :) I was shocked to hear of her passing away. I'm so sorry for everyone around her. Perhaps God will give her a new pass... :)

I will miss Stephanie's bright smile and gentle way. We worked together on issues related to National Marine Sanctuaries and National Estuarine Research Reserves. She was a great lawyer and always was straightforward and funny and real. I will miss passing her on the street outside of NOAA where she always reminded me of the good old days we shared. I am so sorry for your loss, and for ours. Stephanie will be greatly missed.

Stephanie was a wonderful free spirit who brightened up the world with her wit and humor. I shall miss her repartee. She also was a great attorney and colleague with whom I had the pleasure of working in the 1980's when we both were new to NOAA. Most of all, I think Stephanie will be missed for her kind, caring, and generous heart. My thoughts go out to the Campbell family, and to all who knew and loved her while she was here with us.
