Dear Doug, I am so sorry I didn't make it to the funeral. I didn't even know Penny had been sick. How do BFF's like Penny and I lose touch so quickly. Our lives get going in different directions. I taught with Penny at Centerville Jr. High. She was a special friend and a great teacher. May you find peace and comfort in the coming days. I will always cherish the time I spent with her. She was truly an example to many.

I am so sorry to hear of Penny's passing. She (along with her family) were such a positive part of my childhood and as I grew up and moved on to get married and settle down in Oregon I have thought of her and her family often.
