Here is one of my favorite photos of Steve.

I stood on the bluff above the bay with my wife and two close friends. The sunset was stunning: a crimson red. The wind and surf had calmed; just a gentle whispering wind remained. Steve's photo was placed before us in the cool sand. A sage smudge was lit as we gathered close to circle him, wrapping our arms tightly around each other. I fell in love with Steebie the day he was born and have loved him every day since.

He was one of the kindest, gentlest, most generous people I have ever known.

I will always be grateful that he was in my life, although for much too short a period of time.

I believe that Steve willed himself to live this earth so his Mom would not have to worry about him when she was having surgery (that's the kind of person he was).
