Not sure what to say?

RIP Father Steve!!! Thanks for being a great priest, role model and friend during my college years! Your generous heart is not forgotten!

I worked with Father Steve when he was a rector at Cursillo. What kind, joyful and compassionate man! He will be missed! - Anne

May you find comfort in your memories of a great man. I have known Steve since the days of Divine Word Seminary. He baptized our second child in 1979 and presided at our renewal of our wedding vows. A long friendship, a sweet loving man who truly lived a faith filled life. He will be greatly missed.
Sending heartfelt condolences

I unfortunately found out about Fr Steve's death just recently. I worked with him at Merchyhurst College for four years (1993-1997) with the Campus Minustry Department as well as had taken a theology class with him. He was the one who commissioned me as a Eucharistic Minister and lead so many of my most memorable retreats. Fr Steve truly furthered my spirituality with The Lord. He will truly be missed.

I remember Steve as a quiet kid with big smile when I went to visit Paul and watch football together. Steve, you made the world a better place.

Suzanne,
Thinking of you at this sad time - Hugs, Caroline Staab

A genuine, good, real person. A man who truly loved being a priest. He touched so many with his kindness. He comforted so many with his words and now he will live in each of us through his spirit.
Rest in peace my friend. I was blessed to have you be a part of my life.

Anderson Family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. (Wanted to join you at funeral Mass tomorrow, but "under the weather.") I really appreciate all he did for my family when he served at OLP. He even baptized my Godchild.
Fr. JIm Gutting

Father Steve,
What a great priest you were and a good friend, too. You certainly did fine work at Mercyhurst University and in all your assignments. Your celebration of Easter this year certainly was a true understanding of death and resurrection. You now enjoy the company of the Triune God and all the angels and saints. Pray for us who are left behind. We still need you.
