Not sure what to say?

Miss Steve very much. He was the older one of the three of us growing up together (with Jeff and me) and we looked up to him. He was really smart and funny and talented besides very athletic and competitively sports minded. I remember us playing kickball in the street. Basketball in his driveway. Street hockey in the winter. Camping out in the backyard. Playing cards all the time. We bowled together. Just so many memories. Miss him so much. Love you Steve!

Think of you often and miss you. You would be so happy to see the amazing progress made with artificial limbs. I rememeber as kids how you struggled but always succeeded to do whatever we were doing or playing, regardless. Would love for you to be here now. I miss you, Faz.

I wish to send my sincere condolences to Steve's family. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that he will be missed deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. He was a great person and I am glad I got to know him. He and I were classmates in grammer school

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He always found the positive in a situation and was one of the most helpful people I've ever worked with at the University. He will be missed by all who have ever had any contact with him. My heart goes out to his entire family, but especially his daughters.

I am so saddened and shocked to hear of Steve's passing. My deepest sympatthy to all his family, and the many people that love him. I have Steve since we were kids through having mutual friends, sharing disability issues and more. We lost contact at times, but would always seem to pick up where we left off... His kindness, energy and caring was awesome to see, and a joy to be around! How I wish I had his constant energy.
One of my fondest memories was being coach as the Rochester...

Steve was one of the nicest and best people here at the UR. He was kind, friendly, and a true professional. You could count on him for whatever needed to be done, and sometimes it seemed like he did the impossible. He was also the voice of reason. It was such a pleasure to work with him!!! And he had a great sense of humor--we had a lot of laughs! He will be missed!

My heart goes out to you!

Kellie and Stephanie,
I have fond memories of when we were next door neighbors. Many laughs...your father will certainly be missed.
So sorry for your loss,

I am deeply saddened at the news of Steve's death. Steve was a great person to work with. Whenever I had a question or a problem, Steve would do whatever he could to help me out. University Finance has lost a true professional. He will be missed.

It was a pleasure to do business with Steve Barbato. In my 25 year career at the UR Steve was a constant and consummate professional. A customer service oriented individual and a credit to the University. A quality human being, both personally and professionally. His family should know how special and well thought of he was by those of us in the "trenches." He will be sadly missed!
