Stephen Biddle

I did not know Stephen but as a member of the Upjohn Institute family I send my condolences to his family on their loss.

Stevie is one-of-a-kind... a beautiful human being in so many ways. I loved our long bike rides where he would share deep intellectual thoughts as well as provide needed humor for me to finish the trip. I will miss Stevie greatly (the world will miss him greatly) but I'm trusting God has already deployed him in amazing, unexplainably awesome service in the next realm.

A couple of months ago at lunchtime, I ran into Stephen in the parking lot of the Upjohn Institute as he was heading back in to the Research Building. It was raining pretty strongly, but he did not have an umbrella with him, and I did. I offered to walk with him to the front doors, sharing my umbrella, and he gratefully accepted the gesture. I will always remember that adorable, little blond-haired boy who ran around Donley with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. We finished our run of "Biddle Boys" with one of the sweetest, smartest young men to roam our halls. My heart goes out to his entire family. I have no words.

My condolences to the entire Biddle Family. While I haven’t been in touch with Stevie since high school, I fondly cherish the memories we spent together in our musical group of friends.
