Stevie was my buddy. At first, my neighbor, then acquaintance, then my buddy. A dear soul and bright as a star with those ice blue eyes that just sparkled. He said life was like a bus ride, some we are on the bus with longer than others; my time with him was short, but it happened and I was blessed for it. We loved our cats, went to the library, carpooled and dined together. We shared our interests and views and he was a true friend. My heart will always be fond of him and I will miss...

I was so saddened to read of Steve’s passing and extend my heartfelt sympathies to each of you.

Steve was the "new kid" on our school bus after the Blue family moved to their new home on Croft Road. I think that was around the 7th grade. I didn’t meet Steve, however, until the 9th grade when he sat behind me in Latin class and tapped me on the shoulder to borrow a pen. That was the beginning of a great friendship. My deepest sympathy to all of Steve's family. I am so sorry to have lost such a good friend. I worked with him at the One Stop for almost 5 years and we attended some wonderful Napa Symphonies together. I'll miss you. May God Bless you and your family. Dee

I am so sorry to hear about Steve. Please accept my very deepest condolences.

Steve and I went to graduate school together and we spent many hours at JFKU talking and laughing, comparing ideas and opinions--Steve never in short supply of those! He was a very much loved friend.

We got together a few years ago, shortly after he finished a round of chemo -- he was witty and had a such a positive attitude about life and death.
