Not sure what to say?

Dear Mel and Bolser Family,
It was quite a shock to me to see Stephen's obit in the Springfield newspaper on St.Pat's. Carol was at MAZDA having service done before she drove to Chi-town to fly to NYC, so I picked up the paper for a glance. I followed your life's path from afar, and always heard and saw good things. It must be very comforting to receive messages from all his students, friends, and colleagues. I have so many good memories of the old days at EIU. You loved a good man,...

Dear Melenie, Matthew, Sarah and Sally,
Steve taught our children at Blessed Sacrament. He was their favorite. I always enjoyed the parent/teacher conferences with him. Entertaining, enjoyable and obviously memorable!
He was one of the Good Guys! Our sympathy and prayers to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Bolser's passing and recent illness. I was so fortunate to have him as a teacher at Ursuline Academy, and I have always considered him to be my strongest educational mentor. All who had Mr. Bolser as a part of their educational experience have been truly blessed. I feel so lucky to have a photo that was taken at the Ursuline reunion prior to its closing, which includes not only some dear friends, but also Mr. Bolser and Mr. Gibson-this is truly a priceless...

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Bolser's passing. He was a great guy. He was always performing, even when lecturing on chemistry. His classes were always exciting. He really was a big part of what made Ursuline a great place to go to high school.

Mr. Bolser helped make life at UA uniquely memorable and fun. He was a great teacher and a wonderful director and performer. I couldn't believe it when I heard he was ill and am stunned and saddened now that he's gone. Indeed the world is a better place for having had him in it. My sympathies to his family.

Liz and I are very sorry to hear about Steve's passing. What a great friend. We will never forget all the good times at UA. Especially, the Friday afternoon happy hours at a local establishment or one of the teachers' houses. You are in or thoughts and prayers.

Dear Bolser family,

I am saddened by the loss of such a great person. Mr. Bolser was my teacher for three years at UA. He was one of the best and most inspirational teachers I ever had. His ability to make learning fun was unmatched. His sense of humor was such a gift. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of a great man. As one of his students at Ursuline, I can recall always looking forward to being in his presence and counting on a sincere smile and/or laugh. He is thought of with fond memories.

I would also like to express my fondness for one GREAT teacher. I was thankful to be able to see him at the reunion several years ago and to tell him what a fantastic teacher he was.

He had such a great energy and talent for making learning fun. The time I spent learning from him will always be cherished.

I wish you peace and hope that you can gain some comfort in knowing what a huge impact he made on so many lives.
