Stephen J. Borowitz, 82, of Avon Park, FL, formerly of Camp Hill, died Friday, October 31, 2003, in Sebring, FL.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was a salesman for Colson Castor Corp., in Jonesboro, Arkansas, retiring in 1981. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, during World War II. He was a member of Highlands Ridge Golf Association in Florida and a member of Westshore Golf and Country Club in Camp Hill, PA.
He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, FL and former parishioner of Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill, PA.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Borowitz of Avon Park, FL; sons, Robert Allan Borowitz of Arlington, VA and Stephen R. Borowitz of Mechanicsburg, PA; a daughter, Mary Ann Borowitz of Lititz, PA; a sister, Josepha Bertone of Pittsburgh, PA; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 4, at Highlands Ridge Grand Ballroom and a Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 7, 2003, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, at 9 a.m., with Father Leo Freshette officiating.
Cremation arrangements are by Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, FL.
