Not sure what to say?

Though I live and work mostly in Chicago I am a Manchester Michigan long time home owner. I loved looking at Steve's photographic posts on flickr especially the Manchester countryside through the seasons. Know that his artistic photographic talent brought such serene peace to my often hectic days and for that I will always be thankful. My thoughts are with you the family.

We met Steve and saw him many times over the past 20+ years when he would accompany his Marsha to her Ypsilanti High School events. I know they loved the antique car shows and he loved photography. My condolences to her and his family. Stephanie ("the other Steve") Leach Basar

We will miss our weekly visits with Brownie and his photos. We send our condolences to his family

Brownie would always say hello when he would come into the office at Washtenaw Engineering to post his weekly picture. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I'm so sad to learn of Steve's passing. He shot so many wonderful images. I was always humbled when he would take the time to photograph my cars. I often wouldn't even know he had shot the photo until a few days later when a copy of the photo would appear in my email in-basket. I'll miss running into Steve at car shows. I've attached an image he shot one afternoon when we took my old unrestored 1922 Liberty out into the country for a full blown photo-shoot. I think it was a fun afternoon for...

Brownski will forever be remembered as a genuine friend by anyone whoever came to truly know him. He was always available or would make himself available to anyone who requested a few minutes of his time. Though his many interests, and during his professional employment years, Brownies skills and talents produced consistent perfection in all his efforts. I do believe his sense of humor to be his top asset, even during his final year. Happy trails.......bud........Freakman

He will be missed by many. Prayers and condolences to the family.

Brownie was the nicest guy. I really liked knowing him and working with him at Washtenaw Engineering. He took great photos and loved sharing them with us. I´m sorry that he´s passed on.

Steve was a great friend, always ready to share a meal, a photo, a trip, a car show. While I would take a quick photo, Steve took much more time and achieve the perfectly framed shot...and then shared them with others. He had friends all over the country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
