CMAR, Stephen Charles Age 20, left our earthly presence to join The Lord in eternal peace and salvation on Thursday (5/6) as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in Waltham, MA, beloved son of Geoffrey & Deborah (Collins) Cmar, Stephen's family moved to Bow, NH when he was 10 months old. He was a graduate of Bow High School class of 2008, was a member of the class of 2012 at the University of New Hampshire, was a top cadet of their Army ROTC program, and was majoring in Geography. At Bow High School, Stephen played varsity football, ran track, and played lacrosse. He was an avid Boston sports fan, played youth hockey for the Concord Capitals and NH Avalanche, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Stephen's faith and relationship with God was particularly important to him as was service to others. He was active in St. John the Evangelist Church's youth group and served The Lord by participating in four workcamps. Above all else, Stephen treasured spending time with family and friends. Although the hearts of all who knew Stephen are broken, we take comfort knowing that our lives are richer because we have been touched by his beautiful and compassionate loving soul, easygoing spirit and gentle disposition. In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by two brothers; Geoffrey Craig Cmar, II of Bow and Shaun William Cmar of Dover; one sister, Leeanna Suh Mee Helen Cmar of Bow; grandparents, Paul and Joan Collins of Bow; 19 cousins, including five with whom he had a particularly close relationship; Christopher, Ryan, Marc, Scott, and Connor Simpson, of Bow; his aunts and uncles; Barbara & Ken Eldridge of Charlotte, NC, Greg and Joyce Cmar of Lynn, MA, Chip and Ood Collins of Nashua, Nancylee and Robert Simpson of Bow, and Scott and Demi Collins of Atlanta, GA, Donna Revane of Hoosick Falls, NY, and Leslie Duffield of Atlanta, GA; and his great aunt and uncle, Patricia and David King of New Hampton. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Shirley Cmar. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 11, from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM at The Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, CONCORD, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 12 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 Main Street, Concord, NH. A burial with full military honors will follow at Evans Cemetery, Bow, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Stephen Cmar Memorial ROTC Fund, C/O Oceans Bank, 70 Main Street Durham, NH 03824.

Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate enough to live down the hallway this year. He was a great guy and I will miss him a lot. I am thinking and praying for you and your family.

Oh I am so very sorry to hear of Steven's passing! You are all such a great family and I pray that you have some sort of heavenly peace during this tragic time. Im thinking of you all...

Though we did not know Stephen, through our son, we know he was a wonderful person and his passing is a loss to us all. Our best wishes and prayers are for all of Stephen's family, friends and fellow cadets.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Stephen's family as well as his UNH ROTC family. He is loved and will be missed.

To Stephen's Family:

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have many fond memories of Stephen from Concord Youth Hockey.

To the Family:

We were saddened when we read of the accident that caused the death of your precious loved one. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God knows your pain and promises to be "near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves."

While now words will remove your pain, it's our prayer that both Luke 7:11-17 & 8:40-56 provide comfort and hope for the future when we will have an opportunity of being reunited with our loved...

my heart is very heavy for all who knew Stephen.

Offering our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
