Not sure what to say?

This is one of the most amazing men that I have met in my life.
I met Steve when I was in 6th grade, I was & still am a friend of Serena's. Though I have not seen Steve in many years we kept in touch by email after another childhood friend of ours passed. He was a great man, always very welcoming. His presence in this life will be missed. Till the next time we meet.

Steve and I spoke about a month ago on the phone, and I was so happy to hear from him and to know how well things were going for him. He updated me about all of his kids (of whom he was so very proud), talked about his plans for retirement, and I was reminded just what a great man he was. I met this magnificent man through his wonderful daughters, Bonnie and Noelle. I had the privelege of meeting and working with Steve in the Prosthetic/Orthotic Lab at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco. I have many great and fond memories of sitting and talking and laughing with Steve and Jim Rawls and Chaplin Cherry in the lab when it was slow. Steve was a great person and very devoted father to his children. He will be missed by all that came to know him.
