Steve was our special fossil collecting friend. The 3 of us went to Goldthwaite, Texas in search of echinoids, Steve's favorite. While at a quarry, we heard small sounds coming from near an dilapidated farm house. We went to investigate and found a tiny kitten. Obviously abandoned, Steve fell in love with it and took it back to Dallas. He named it Persia (see obit above). Later that week, he drove all the way back down there in search of the rest of the litter may be the other kitties...
