Stevie and I were next door neighbors the same age. Probable each others first friends. I knew all the family. I would like to get in touch with his wife or some member of your family. My Very Best, Bob O'Donoghue

I married you on 18 August 1951 in the Second Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware, where we
worked for DuPont and we had the reception at the University Club just a block from the church.
I had passed you many times going in the opposite direction to work and had observed you at the
DuPont Country Club and when one of the guys wanted me to meet you, I was pleased and then the next day you got orders to report to Brooklyn and left on 22 May for Lowell and had to report for duty...

Dear Mom,

Today, 08/19/2008 A.D., we are back from down yonder (VA home).

First i have to thank all the kin and friends..... what better family are we able to have.. simple answer ..= NONE (ours is BEST..not A.M. Best either...).

It is so much like the two women on either side of Tye River at Hatt Creek and Opossum Trot Junctions... one asks.. How do I get to the other side...((?)) Now the other lady responds after pondering some...WELL Maam you are on the other...

Mary Lib,
I'm so sorry for your loss of Steve. There are so many fond memories of our families in Nelson County and Virginia. Thank you for keeping up with everyone. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

When I was growing up, my Uncle Steve and Aunt MaryLib always stayed very involved with our family’s lives, always offering us support. It was only after I grew up and moved away that I actually realized how far it really is between New Jersey and Virginia, how much work that must have been for Steve and his family. When I went away to school, Steve and his family checked on me several times each year to make sure things were going well. When Deb and I were married, Steve and Mary Lib made...

Mary Lib - Though I never had a chance to meet Steve, I've heard so many stories from Kay and Louise. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family. I consider myself to be an "unofficial" member of the family and love you dearly. My prayers are with you. I love you!

Mary Lib,
I am so sorry for your lose and I know that you will miss Steve. I have always enjoyed talking to you and getting to see you and I always ask gramma how you are. I know that see is in heaven and that you will see him again. May God bless you and your family and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Byron, Michelle, &Cameron

My Dearest Aunt,
Your Steve was such a special person in my life growing up as you were. I looked so forward to your coming to Virginia in the summer and all the talking and endless cups of coffee. You both always meant allot to me and my family and I will treasure the memories forever. My how time flies. Remember the time when I was dating Dee and Dad and Charlie came to the "home in the woods" (your place) looking for us and we were already down at Smith Mountain Lake. As I look...
